This tour is one of the most popular day-tour in Iran. We start the day by driving to the heart of ancient Persia towards Persepolis (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE) and its museum, a complex accommodating a cluster of palaces. We depart from Shiraz via the Quran gate. After 45 km to the north of Shiraz, we stop at Persepolis, the outstanding ceremonial palace of the Achaemenids (550 BC) which is one of the first UNESCO listed heritages in Iran. Exploring all the wonderful innovations and arts intricately applied in palaces and decorations in one day isn't possible. Stories and legends are fortunately gathered in books. studying at least one book in this regard gives you insight and helps you understand it better. however if you are busy and can't make studying before your trip, don't worry. Apochi tour guides try their best to tell you the facts and stories as much as possible.
Ahead, not so far, Necropolis, like a stamp on an old closed letter, shows up. It has important things inside but standing quietly in order to not disturb the people who are resting there for centuries. At Necropolis, we see four tombs of Achaemenid kings high in the cliffs of limestone.
Then, we continue through mountain scenery to visit Pasargadae another UNESCO heritage, the earliest Achaemenid capital where the tomb of Cyrus the Great is well preserved.
